Privacy
Topodle is a small daily game. It collects as little as it can and sells none of it.
Playing without an account
Your device makes up a random id the first time you play and keeps it. Each guess you make is sent with that id so the server can count your guesses for the day and show everyone how the round went (how many got it, where first guesses landed). The id identifies no one, and your streak and stats live in your browser, not on our servers.
Accounts
If you create an account we store your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself) and your rounds, so they follow you between devices. We email you only to confirm the address, reset a password, or send a daily reminder you switched on yourself; every reminder email has a way to turn it off. Email is delivered by Resend. If you turn on push notifications, your browser gives us an anonymous delivery address for them, which we keep only while they are on.
Analytics
We run our own copy of Umami, a cookie-free analytics tool, on our own server. It counts page views and a handful of events (a finished round, a share, a sign-up) without storing your IP address or anything that identifies you, and nothing is shared with any third party. The map tiles are served from our own storage; no other service sees you play.
Ads
There are none at the moment. If that changes, this page will say so first.
